9th April 2012 - Easter Sunday Special ..... Lucy: producer, DJ, founder of Stroboscopic Artefacts. Thatâs probably how you know him. But thereâs also Luca Mortellaro, a published author, experimental sound designer, and the man behind the Lucy moniker. Thereâs no doubt that the two are linked, but itâs certainly the hidden facets of Luca Mortellaro that are responsible for the dynamic output of Lucy. Lucyâs âBanality of Evilâ EP (13th April 2012) teases apart the dark sides of human psychology and lays them down as fractured, angular tracks. Inspired by Hannah Arendtâs writings on conformity and totalitarianism SA013 makes for provocative listening. âSuperior Ordersâ is an off kilter introduction: Lucy took synth lines that Roll The Dice crafted in Stockholm and broke them down, buckling the lines and revealing their malevolence. âStanford Prisonâ layers wistful top lines over driving base creating a fluid, transitory atmosphere.
