I’m literally 100% sure she doesn’t know my name? We just rode the elevator up together and I can’t help but say good morning to people and she just struck up a conversation with me and I’m really confused because she asked what I was doing (post grad) and I told her I was a proctor for the Math Department and she had no idea we had proctors for the Math Dept and I explained what I did and who I worked for and that I was currently in the application process for the Sheriff’s office (since, you know, I don’t have a job after today for the rest of the summer? #shade) and she was like “Oh, I’m having dinner with the Sheriff on Saturday! Add me as a reference, I’m sure he’ll hire you.” And handed me her business card with all of her information on it.

Lesson of the day: Nepotism is only bad when you don’t benefit from it?
