it really does piss me off, as a tradesworker located in a big city, how many of my peers are just funneling money out of my community.
say you've got a government building project, right? half the workers are coming in from 'nicer' neighborhoods, making constant jokes about being worried they're gonna get robbed on the way to their cars, making 'tweaker' jokes about the locals, and then fucking off home to edina or whatever the fuck, taking their paychecks with them.
it's nice these jobs are getting done with union labor, but if you hate big cities so much stop taking our tax dollars with you and spending it on a second boat. there are so many people in my union who are right wing assholes quite literally getting a 'free ride' off of our collectivist enterprise, with contempt for nearly everyone actually responsible for their prosperity.
