I’ve resurfaced a certain blog, but added a small twist to it. ;3
What I love about Steve likes to make himself out to be this bad ass, but the reality is he’s deathly afraid of touching water!
Warmed up by slowly revamping Steve last night. I think he might end up as his own story rather than part of an rp blog. He’s still a jinn, but more in a sense that there’s one for each basic element: electricity, wind, water, earth, and fire. The basics of his story is that every Millennia or so the jinn go into a century long hibernation, their body’s version of death and rebirth, so they reemerge as a younger form, but with the catch that they start fresh without memory every time. Immortal, but can only pass on what they’ve learned before the rebirth slumber. Steve or Raijin, as he was called in his previous life, began to explore in his new environment and ended up traveling the power lines of a city before meeting a new friend, becoming roommates. Basically something bad’s going on, he’s gotta stop the bad guy, blah blah blah. The only difference is he’s no longer fighting in the virtual world. He can manipulate the web to an extent, but fighting malware and stuff has been scrapped. Only one grade can be used at a time, with an additional grade cooldown that keeps him from switching between forms. This forces him to think carefully about what form to takes, which makes for interesting results should he choose something different from the expected.
D-Grade
Though Steve loves the benefit of added bulk, the slow pace of his Defense Grade form can become tedious for him. It also doesn’t help that it has a lot of blind spots, forcing him to rely on the tendrils on his back to sense movement in the area. He’s also found that they’re strong enough to roll him back on his feet when he’s fallen over, but overall D-Grade is meant mainly to stall or wear out an attacker. Overall it’s useful, but he thinks he looks silly.
O-Grade
The Offense Grade is something interesting, it has some bulk. Though it can take some hits, it performs better when it’s throwing the opponent around. It’s a definite favorite for Steve, even with the blind spot, if it wasn’t for the obvious weak point. Because the upgrade was more for power, it left his frail midsection bare. On the occasion that he feels like it (most of the time), Steve will put the upgrade to lift his ego which leads to him and his roommate arguing about his decision.Â
