The âInâ Crowd â Ramsey Lewis
Ramsey Lewis is a jazz pianist who started his career in the fifties and is still performing today at 85 years of age. Given the times we live in, he is selling tickets to live streamed concerts.
His 1965 album The âInâ Crowd won a Grammy Award for âBest Jazz Performance â Small Groupâ, and went gold. The single of the title track was nominated for âRecord of the Yearâ.
The song The âInâ Crowd was written by Billy Page, for Dobie Gray, and The Mamas and the Papas also covered the song on their 1965 debut album If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears.
