AEGOR RIVERS... i fell into spells and rituals two years ago and i haven't been able to get back to normal. more people should like him yes, but most of all, more people should stop believing blackwood propaganda because if you ever wished joncon/rhaegar and joncon/young griff had more incest in it and that the older parental figure was thoroughly unlikable and mean you would like aegor/daemon and aegor/daemon ii aka junior. i even wrote a fic about it because of said spells.

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

the maidenvault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to me it's such an interesting consequence of the post dance generation. you've got a3gon and viiserys as the transition but then when you get to baelor's court, it all goes to hell. I feel like most people really don't talk about how maladjusted the maidenvault girls would be after being locked up for ten years with mostly their own company.

her sisters! then her prison wives whoever they might be but barba primarily. i'm pretty interested in her relationship with naerys too.

i wish she had live longer 😭 i don't think she died in childbirth but it's pretty much implied she didn't leave to see daemon get recognised.

daena of course. rhaena was probably her first prison wife until rhaena turned to religion boooo. joffrey v for the lols, never too late to add an uncle to the mix.

her sisters. also baelor, i feel like rhaena must have felt pretty betrayed when she was as devoted as baelor. ok wait what if rhaena resented her sisters or slutshamed them....

my unpop opinion is she needed an older lover like her sisters! equal opportunity for all.

What made you ship it?

jacegon -- i guess what made me ship it besides pure spite was that the ship is made up of my favorite characters in the show. also that their relationship is a sort of crystallization of what the dance is about and how all our choices have a consequence. and maybe that sometimes it's really healing to fuck your enemy.

louclaudia -- i'm going to be honest and say it was actually you bia! i mean i already knew of their whole vibe from the book and the show but i shipped claudia with lestat more than with louis but you made me open my eyes to how much was there wrt louis' obsession & jealousy. and after we read lolita......

daena/daemon/aegor -- i guess because it was really hot?? i don't really remember how we made this up but it's hot to think about these three character locked in a weird incestuous relationship where it's both unrequited and requited from all sides. and also aegor is the dog.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

jacegon -- 1) that is canon they had a pretty good childhood friendship 2) that they are enemies 3) the ship can only happen if they both forsake everything and ruin their lives for the other.

louclaudia -- 1) how obsessed louis is with claudia 2) that he still is fighting it 3) the lolita bits.

daena/daemon/aegor -- 1) how close to canon is 2) i've always loved motherson and this one is mother x son x son 3) that we can shift who the center of the ship is because it's never equal.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

jacegon -- i don't think it's a big enough "fandom" to have an unpopular opinion on but i guess i feel like i'm in the minority when i don't think it's a corrupting situation nor one where jace is the fearful innocent to aegon's dastardly rapist. to me it's jace who has all the power.

louclaudia -- probably that i even ship them at all and that i don't like the "dad" & "daughter" dynamic most have imagined louis and claudia have in canon. maybe that claudia is a pretty active participant in shipping herself with louis.

nooooo that was one of the embarrassing ones....... i only have like three scenes and a dream with this one but take this i guess.

AEGOR RIVERS!!! i fear he's so unpopular people might think i'm doing a bit but i actually like him so much. he's even unpopular IN THE STORY... no bless yous for giacomo ever. sistergf left him for his other brother, had to raise all his nephews and niecewife in exile, one of those nephews fucked it up so much he ruined for the rest of them..... i like him because while he has such a black reputation in universe a lot of his actions don't seen to be as that evil?? i mean the dichotomy is so interesting because in any other universe he would just be maekar, one of the good guys, except he decided to side with daemon, putting himself in opposition and keep the rebellions going, crowning nephew after nephew out of love for his brother. he could've crowned himself, he had the army! but he didn't. also he's so hot. number one hater, homophobic, misogynist, a bracken, probably a control freak....

OK. i guess 🙄 redgrass field thinking. kind of obsessed with aegor taking blackfyre from one of the dead twins, seeing daemon pierced by arrows holding the other dead twin. like his world falling apart because he put everything on daemon winning and not even fireball's death the night before dampened anything. and then he takes the sword and goes on a murder spree and MEETS daemon's killer. just so sexy to think he might not have finished bloodraven (considering he was less able with a sword) because he was thinking of daemon jr and the rest of the family. like. good guardian dog keeping the family safe and the next king safe and losing his brother and nephews and the rebel support in one fell swoop.
