With her more wealthy upbringing, and constantly being around the arts and her parents forcing her to play an instrument it sorta came natural to her. Depending on the instrument she plays or how much of her lungs/voice she uses depends on her initial power outage.

SELENE - SOUND

Her power is very intense, but it also takes a LOT of energy to use. If she uses too much energy on a mission fighting Wanderers, or if she doesn't use an instrument/device aside from her own vocal cords, she needs 7-9 days to recover before she can go on missions again. Because of this she's on low-risk missions 85% of the time and is only sent out on intense missions when absolutely necessary.

(Think Black Canary from the DC comics or Toge Inumaki from JJK).

I wanted something that was compatible with Xavier's Light, and in my head the speed of light & sound just made sense. Xavier will always be faster and blinding, but Selene's sound is just as deafening and deadly.

Despite having never lived anywhere near water and having a strange aversion/fear of water, this is what would come the most naturally to her. She can see visions/memories of people, places, and sometimes events that remain in the water, however if she's not careful the water memories will merge with her own and waterlog her mind.

LYLA - WATER

(Think Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury from Sailor Moon or the mermaid trio from the H2O: Just Add Water series)

Lyla is more afraid of her power and has little control over it which means she has super low risk to no field action and mostly stays at the association to help advise other hunters from the safety behind a computer. Since water can be found everywhere (even in rain puddles) she has to be careful where she goes otherwise, she may see something she doesn't need to.

Her powers aren't always doom and gloom though, because water is compatible with ice she can amplify Zayne's power without him having to overexert himself and scar his arms up even more. Her ability to see memories is what also helps her understand Dawnbreaker Zayne better than the Zayne of her timeline.

Despite living a mostly island life and being near water constantly, Cordelia's uncle and cousin will say she's more like an albatross than a fish with how high she could jump in the air while on a surfboard. While water is beautiful, it is the air pressure above the sea that can twist the water to do its bidding and cause severe damage.

CORDELIA - AIR

(Think Storm from X-MEN, or Aang from Avatar the Last Airbender)

Because of how dangerous her power can be she always tries to keep a level head because even the slightest puff of breath when she's agitated can knock down a wall. She thankfully doesn't have asthma, but she does have to be careful about overexerting her lungs. Due to a surfing accident when she was a child, if she uses her lungs too much, they can pop. Because of this she's on low-medium risk missions 75% of the time and is strictly Rafayel's bodyguard/surveillance officer.

Out of all the elements/abilities that I could think of, air is best suited to both compliment and contradict Rafayel's fire. She can help make his flames stronger, or she can take it away (by scientifically stealing the oxygen).

From a more tragic romance standpoint, they are literally 'If a bird fell in love with a fish' type scenario.,

With the rough upbringing she had and constantly jumping from foster home to foster home, Elara's ability to just see a few steps into the future helped save her from quite a few beatings and dangerous situations she was just narrowly able to avoid. Because she was constantly on the run sometimes it was hard for her to tell what was real and what was a flashing warning vision to keep her safe.

ELARA - PRECOGNITION

(Similar to Sir Nighteye from BHNA or Madame Web from the Sensational Spider-Man)

While her ability helps her find different protocore disturbances/fluctuations and she can help the Hunters Association before the need to hunt down Wanderers arises, it requires lots of focus, time, and attention that drains her because if she's not careful she can unintentionally see into another timeline. She's strictly low-risk missions OR SS-rank missions; no in-between.

While she can see days, weeks, months, or even a few years into the future nothing is concrete and there's always one person who eludes her visions even when she tries to strictly focus on him. Despite her best effort not to worry about Sylus, she simply can't help it. Ever since he stepped into her life, she sees him day, night, awake and asleep; sometimes she loses track of where/when she is.

I felt this was the best way to complement Sylus's evol since it's so unique and just as dangerous.

All Caleb's life he and MC have always been 'in-sync'. He teases her about it all the time, tells everyone that, and truly believes that they're in-sync all the time because of all the time and effort he's putting in their weird little relationship. Little does he know it's because Melora can read his mind and she just lets him believe he's got all the power.

MELORA - TELEPATHY

(She's as intense as Jean Grey/Phoenix from X-MEN or Anya from Spy Family).

Not enough people know about her abilities outside the organization which makes her the perfect candidate for most spy-type missions/investigations. Everyone thinks she's just skipping work a lot or that she's just really immature on missions when she pokes and prods people into some sort of response, when really, she's reading their minds for the necessary information. Because her power is mind reading only, she gets 80% of the intense/dangerous missions and gets a lot of leave time to make up for it to go see Caleb and reminisce on things.

Believe it or not, Caleb low-key needs someone who can just read his mind. He's intense like a fast-paced- metronome and needs someone who can just peer into his mind, gently soothe the anxious thoughts and casually whisper what he needs to hear to keep that microchip from activating too soon.

With all the damage that the Wanderers have done over the years sometimes the only thing Zeva has ever been able to rely on is the literal earth beneath her feet, and even then, that's difficult. Orphaned and homeless at such a young age she learned early on which vibrations under the surface to trust and which ones to run from and which ones to hide from.

ZEVA - EARTH

(Think Pixie-Bob from the Wild Wild Pussycats from BNHA or Toph from Avatar the Last Airbender)

Given the mastery of her abilities, she's sent out on the most dangerous missions regularly and often has to be denied mission requests and sent home to actually use her leave time so her commanding officer doesn't get in too much trouble. Because she's always on the go, she's got the crazy overtime schedule of a firefighter working at three different stations (IYKYK) and is rarely seen at the office because she's often camping out where she needs to be for the next mission she steals from a coworker.

While little is known about Valko and the extent of his metal evol, I felt liek earth would be the most compatible for him since he does have that hyper-dog energy and needs someone to ground him from time to time. Also, if this man truly has 16 puppies, he's the type to pick up any and all strays and whether Zeva wants to admit it or not, she's a stray.
