Empty Homes & Broken Promises
Andy felt sick as she stared at the ground. Not only did she believe she was far too young for this, she knew she wasn’t going to be able to do it. How was she supposed to commit her life to someone already when she barely had ever spoken to them before? Sure, she and Antonin were in the same year and house at Hogwarts, but that certainly didn’t mean she was ready to agree to marry him. Merlin, they were only fifteen. But, then again, she wasn’t really in the position to say no. She knew it would happen sooner or later, a betrothal was anything if not normal for her family, but she hadn’t expected it so soon.
The moments waiting for the Dolohovs to enter the Black Manor were excruciating. She tried to do anything, but focus on her mother’s fussing over her hair and her dress. It was all making her feel a bit dizzy. Bellatrix had tried to soothe her, after all, she was only one year older when she had found out she was to marry Rodolphus. The moment she had been dreading had come when one of the house elves had come in to announce the Dolohovs were here. Then, another came in ushering their guests into the room.
She had stayed relatively quiet through the entire meeting, until the two sets of parents had left the room, leaving herself and Antonin alone for the first time since they found out about their future marriage. She awkwardly smiled at him, waiting for him to speak first.
