     date night   has never really been a successful concept for them. if it wasn’t stefani calling to cancel because a client offered too much money to turn down, it was crow getting caught on a job and not coming home for days afterwards. stefani can’t say she’s all that disappointed, honestly. since she ---  since losing the baby, there seems to be a wall between them. it’s thin, it’s crumbling, it’s got holes and missing bricks but it’s there. that moment had been too real, now she finds herself unable to give that  realness  again. 

              she sits at her dressing table, half ready for their date  ----  her makeup done, sitting in the slip of a dress and heels  ( of course ),  all she had left to do was her hair when crow came stumbling in. now she has his favourite leather jacket on her lap, carefully trying to mend a large gash in it’s arm by adding a patch from his favourite band.  

           stefani really never thought this could happen again. not after making it this far  ----  almost six months.  almost.  when she woke up this morning, kissed crow goodbye before he left, her stomach felt tight. almost  cramping  but not severe enough to assume anything other than a dodgy stomach from the chinese food last night. but the more the day went on the more pain she was in, trying to forget about it, brush it all aside until she couldn’t anymore. standing in the kitchen, she felt the blood running down her legs. she knew then and there what was happening. 

      that must have been around ten this morning, maybe eleven. she got an uber to the hospital. didn’t call crow --  didn’t want him to have to suffer through this too. at least she’s been here before, she knows the ropes, knows the second you step through the automatic doors and the smell of bleach and sanatiser  burns your nose it’s time to turn off emotionally. 

     it felt like the longest day of her life, but the time on her phone only says it’s been eight hours.  abnormal uterus   was the excuse. possibly caused by trauma, maybe just how your body is wired, we’ll call you back in a few months for some tests, see what we can do. 

Kaho’s hand stilled mid-air, lingering by the doorknob. There were... sounds coming from inside of his house. Movement from within. Scanning the front of his house, it didn’t look like someone had broken in. Did they enter from his garden, or did they somehow pick his lock?

poppy :   what  comforts  your  muse ?

There’s  not  a  lot  of  healthy  options  when  it  comes  to  comforting  James.     He  didn’t  have  many  friends  before,    now  he  doesn’t  have  any.      Although  he’s  got  his  father  in  Ashfield  he  doesn’t  have  contact  anymore  since  going  MIA.     Laura  is  the  only  one  who  brings  James  some  kind  of  equilibrium;     Otherwise  James  takes  comfort  in  booze  &  self - punishment.     This  was  especially  true  before  returning  to  Silent  Hill.     Although  he  takes  what  he  learned  from  there,     his  demons  still  reside  within  him  and  he  will  turn  to  the  bottle  when  in  need  of  comfort.

            The blonde could feel the fire building at the edge of the steal, ready to burn, ready to leave it’s mark.  Pursed lips lift her chin, pressing her flesh against razor sharp blade.  If this was when death would finally come to greet her, she welcomed it with open arms.  After all, the drugs and liquor no longer held any favors like they had in the past.  It’s all made her lazy, sloppy.
