EggBoss Shadow: Origins
Many years would pass with Shadow heading Team Dark, base busting missions, alien threats; all seeming to feel like a broken record. Each accomplishment feeling like one step forward and two steps back.
Tensions between Commander and the ULF would hit levels that would surpass the ones before the initial Black Arms invasion. Shadow felt as if his team was being forced to hold back and not take out threats until they posed a major problem instead of nipping things in the bud.
Things further escalate after Shadow goes out before GUNās approval and eliminates what at the time was a large construction project funded by none other than Dr.Eggman.
Little did he know that it wasnāt baddies being the laborers, instead it was a crew of enslaved Mobians dressed the part of the aforementioned baddies; who was Shadow to know this? After-all, he headed out without ANY sort of intel that the team normally had before going out.
Feeling the guilt of knowing heād caused numerous civilianĀ casualties and anger at the repercussions brought down on him and the dismemberment of Team Dark (due to Shadow basically abandoning it and going on his own towards that fateful day), Commander Tower slammed down the almighty pen to official documents that would hereby disband the black-ops squad and remove Shadow of any sort of United Federation employment.
Before even the sense of losing purpose could set in, Eggman, whoād been observing this entire downward spiral via hacking into GUN systems and overhead drones, swooped in and made a case that our now unemployed antihero would accept without a second thought.
Shadow would return to a lead position of an elite group, namely Eggmanās infamous Eggbossās. He would oversee the collective progress of each member while monitoring Mobius from a place heād feel right at home: Space Colony ARK.
Set with fresh duds, a mass of obedient workers, and the entire ARK at his disposal, Shadow could finally make a difference for this planet.
Sure, Eggman yearned to rule it entirely via warfare and roboticization, whose to say why certain plans would not work out, and why battles were lost?
Yes, Shadow had an ulterior motive: Ensure that Mobius remain on the good side of fate while slowly heād make moves to grow even higher in the ranks until...he would replace the Eggman and do what he couldnāt: Take the reigns of Mobiusās destiny into his hands alongside the free worldās leaders, in harmony.
