Wirt doesn't do much daydreaming, actually, because his mind is always too full of worrying about things that have happened or might happen or are probably going to happen unless he follows these exact steps to prevent them but y'know you also have to prepare for what you're going to do if things don't go according to plan so then you have to have a plan for when the plan fails and then if that plan fails you have to start thinking ahead to what you're going to pack when you move out of town and become a hermit because you know it's probably better to just live in seclusion like that than constantly worry about what people are thinking about you when you mess up.
