Sweat Proof Makeup for Summer – 2016

Hey my loves,

today I am sharing my go-to, sweat proof makeup for summer. As you might have seen in my latest haul (link is going to be at the end of the entry) I recently bought a few items to perfect my makeup for summer.

I love wearing makeup but during the hot summer days it can get quite annoying. I’ve found a way to wear makeup that works perfect for me. So here you go:

Summer makeup is meant to be effortless while giving you a sunkissed appearance.  Many ward off wearing makeup to the beach or the pool, but by using products that are waterproof and contain SPF your summer look could be the perfect fit for your surroundings!

Bronze Eyes paired with a matte bronzer for a light contour and a nude lip, give you the ideal 'Beach Babe' look for a day at the beach, pool or out and about enjoying the summer sun!

To get this look: 

FACE:  On the face use a tinted moisturizer (recommended: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20, Laura Geller Barely There Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20) as your foundation for the day. This product provides slight coverage as well as SPF protection against UVA/UVB rays. This product is usually long wearing. Conceal under eye area as needed using a light weight concealer (recommended: MAC Studio Finish SPF 35, MAC Select CoverUp, Maybelline FIT ME Concealer, YSL Touche Eclat), this step is optional and can be skipped. If concealer is used, make sure to set it with a light weight translucent powder (recommended:Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Translucent Powder, Revlon Photo Ready Translucent Finisher, Ben Nye Bella Luxury Toned Powder)so that it doesn't crease or move around through out the day. Using a bronzer, apply it to the hollows of the cheek and blend upward towards the cheek bones for definition and contouring. (recommended: BH Cosmetics Bronzing Powder, MUFE Mat Bronze, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer in Real Cocoa, Sephora Bronzer). This slims the face and gives it a sun kissed look.

EYES: After brushing your brows into place, set with a clear eye brow gel.  For sparse brows, take an eyebrow pencil (recommended: Maybelline Define-A-Brow, Napoleon Perdis Eyebrow Pencil, MAC Eyebrow Pencil) and with a light hand, use short strokes to fill in the sparse areas.  The short light strokes will create a natural look. If you suffer from oily skin be sure to prime the eye (recommended: Urban Decay Primer Potion, Too Face Shadow Insurance).  Next take a bronze trio, quad or a palette that contains bronze colors (recommended: Revlon Colorstay Quad in Brazen, Lancome Quad in VIP Entrance, Stila Bronze Glow Trio, Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette). Using the medium to deep bronze color and a fluffy blending brush, apply the color in swiping motions on the mobile lid, extending it only slightly above the crease.  Taking a stiff eye shadow brush, apply that same color to the outer 3/4 of your lower lash line. Taking a light cream color from the same palette, apply this color to the inner tear duct. Line bottom water line with a white or off white kohl liner (recommended: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Yeyo, NYX Retractable Eyeliner in White). Doing this makes the eyes appear larger.  Next, take a brown liner and define the top lash line (recommended: MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy, ULTA Gel Eyeline Pencil in Mink, ULTA Smokey Eyes Automatic Eyeliner in Espresso).  Next apply your mascara of choice to the top and bottom. 

LIPS:  Lips are the simplest part of this look...simply apply a moisturizing lip balm to the lips to protect them from sun burn or wind damage!
