It was only an instant...
A strangled sound left Henry’s mouth as their
lips made contact. It was an accident, and he knew it,
because he saw the wild embarrassment in Sumia’s
eyes as his met them. His heart pounded violently a
gainst his chest, heat rising to his face. He nearly
dropped the things that Sumia had him carry for her.
She pulled away before he was ready, but it
was for the best, probably. If she didn’t like it.
He opens his mouth to attempt some kind of
statement -- she seemed nervous, he didn’t want her
nervous. Even if she made a mistake, she should know
that he was okay with it, in the grand scheme of things,
and...
He let out an airy giggle instead, far too high in
pitch to resemble his usual crow. It’s too light, too, and
it didn’t stop as well when he asked it to.
❝ I-it’s okay, Sumia! Nya ha ha -- I just -- haha...
Y-you... It’s, uhm... Even if it was an accident, I mean... ❞
He’d been trying to be a little romantic about it, before...
Now it was far too late for that.
❝ I’m not mad. And, uh... It still... counts, even
though it was an accident right? ❞
