How does your AU and story incorporate the Kankers and how do the Eds perceive them later in life?

Starting with my interpretation of them IN the show. I kinda hate people who call them r*pists and stuff… they are bullies and harassing children for kicks, but they’re still kids…

People forget that cartoons are supposed to exaggerate. You can’t take everything these characters do so literally. (Taking cartoons seriously for fun is fine, but not as genuine critique)

They to me, are just cartoony depictions of bullies. Specifically girl bullies who scared boys away with fake flirting. Or even villain versions of when girls would pretend a random classmate is their boyfriend at school and the boy is just confused. (I’m aware they are based on real people Antonucci grew up with).

I could go into how their implied crappy homelife is the rout of their treatment of others.. but I think everyone can pick that up.

As for my HCs: I don’t really have one timeline of events😅 more like 20 potential ideas.

I and many others agree May is the most likely to turn around for the better because her crush is genuine, she’s over all the sweetest, and she gets pushed around by her sisters allot so you can make the argument she’s just trying to survive. I did a thingamajig on how I think May becomes a real friend to the Ed’s.

I don’t think any of them will keep up their harassment as adults or even teenagers. again, I see them more as normal childlike bullying being exaggerated. They’d become some teenage version of bullies.

I believe Lee and Eddy will one day have a brief toxic relationship only for the clout. I also like Lee x Kevin as a biker couple so she can bounce off eddy to him.

As for Marie… I really don’t gaf about Marie lol.

If ur thinking about the trans AU, I think it would be super super cute if now that the kankers are crushing on girls they actually act all shy and bashful, and don’t want to come onto them too hard. Hehe.

Would their potential relationships be better? No. They are still the same people.

Eddy/Beth would not forgive them, Ed/El would still be scared of them and Edd/Lis just ain’t interested.

I think as adults they realistically would just be acquaintances, not really friends but they all know eachother well and could hang out miscellaneously.
