CHICAGO TRUBORNÂ
by Eelco van den Berg
Sometimes referred to as the "anti" gallery, @ChicagoTruborn has been supporting street artists since 2011. While they started as a gallery space the last decade has seen Truborn's commitment to making art accessible lead to managing an increasing number of large scale murals. In 2017 Chicago Truborn turned to Dutch artist Eelco van den Berg to paint this mural on the front of their West Town Chicago gallery. Multi-disciplinary artist Eelco says his "psychedelic landscapes" were largely perfected on the streets of New York City where he is honored to have been named one the city's top 10 street artists.

"CAT, FOX, AND BIRD"
by Virus
"Freelance illustrator Eelco [Virus] van den Berg trained at the Rotterdam School of Creative Arts," reports Digital Arts, "but cut his creative teeth on the streets." While recent years have seen him more occupied with his commercial work, he has not forgotten his roots and, explaining the origin of his name to Brooklyn Street Art, said âIn the eighties I got infected with the hip hop 'virus,' especially with graffiti.â In 2014 Virus was on St. Nicholas Ave. in Brooklyn painting this work for Bushwick Collective in his distinctive styleâdescribed as a mix of the folkloric and the graffuturist along with 3-D modeling.  @iameelco @thebushwickcollectiveâ @bushwickdaily @bkstreetart Â

âBUSHWICK COLLECTIVE NYCâ
by Virus
Explaining his choice of street names Dutch artist Eelco van der Berg, aka Virus, told Brooklyn Street Art (BSA) "In the eighties I got infected with the hip hop virus . . . Especially with graffiti." BSA goes on to describe his aerosol work as both folkloric and graffuturist, reflecting 3-D modeling techniques that come as no surprise considering Digital Arts report that Virus is just as comfortable in his studio manipulating colors and outlines in Adobe Illustrator as in front of a wall with spray cans and latex. This 2014 wall on St Nicholas Ave. at Jefferson St. in Bushwick, Brooklyn, is one of several done for the Bushwick Collective, a project that's bringing together some of the greatest talents from around the world to beautify walls large and small.  @eelcovirus  @bkstreetart  @scenesfromthesidewalk
