Everything had happened so quickly. Seok couldn’t deal with the huge crowd in the warehouse, needing some fresh air. Chucking the large metal door open, the boy dug his hands into his pockets, the cool autumn air slamming against his skin. The boy looked around before pulling out a small metal box containing everything he needed to get his daily dosage of morphine. The whole process was a quick and easy sequence, having done it a million times. As he snorted the white powder, the boy let out a sigh, the drug immediately give him that extra push of happiness, or at least he made himself believe that. Dusting off the remains, the boy made his way back into the building, hardly two steps in as he heard the explosion blast several feet from him. Before he knew it, the boy was stuck under a large metal pole surrounded by rubble, his ears ringing from the sharp noise of the explosion. By the time he had opened his eyes he could only see flames and distressed people who appeared to be screaming, his hearing so severely damaged, a serene calmness came over him at the white noise. The morphine was kicking in more than ever, barely realising he was even stuck under a 350 pound shaft until he tried to move. His perception of pain, space and time were altered by the drug, his conscious trying to fight the calm; to be terrified. The powder hadn’t been fully absorbed yet, his mind still rational enough to eventually realise the danger he was in, trying to push the pole off him with no luck. The flames kept getting bigger and the smoke was starting to lower itself, carbon monoxide filling his lungs before he shouted out desperately for help, hoping the one thing he loved most wouldn’t be the one to consume him: fire. @gpjayz
