Books AND Christmas, this question is so up my street!

One of my favourite authors is Jenny Colgan (Emily @glisseowrites introduced me to her); she writes really good adult contemporary and a lot of her books have Christmas sequels, which I ADORE. Another of my favourite’s is Eva Ibbotson, who wrote really beautiful historical romances. She also wrote three festive short stories–holiday themed, not just Christmas if that’s not your bag–which were published together as ‘The Christmas Star’. I also love Terry Pratchett’s ‘The Hogfather’ but tbh if you haven’t read any Discworld, it’s probably not the best book to start with.

For none-Christmas Christmas books: POA always feels like the Christmas HP book to me, so I love re-reading that at Christmas time, and the third book in the original Princess Diaries series had that holiday vibe, too! And Sarah Dessen’s Just Listen for some reason - I think I originally read it in December, years ago, and part of the story takes place during the holidays. Last year I also read a really interesting book by Judith Flanders about the history of Christmas/the holiday period which was super interesting!
