#whatimwatching The brilliant action film writer/director Walter Hill helms one of my all time favorite cop movies RED HEAT... this 80's gem teams a hardcore Russian detective (Arnold) with cocky, smart mouthed Chicago cop (Belushi)... together they blast rogue Russian drug dealers as they bicker back and forth. The two are one of my favorite all time cop partner duos in all of action cinema. I wish they had worked together more. Also Ed O'Ross never gets enough credit as their foil, Viktor Rostivil, who is one of the best commie villains of Reagan era. Favorite exchange: <Ivan Danko's watch alarm goes off> Art Ridzik: What's that? Danko: My watch. It's on Moscow time. Ridzik: Time to pick up Pokey? Danko: Time to feed parakeet. Ridzik: What's that, Russian for "jerking off"?
