This photoshoot kicks off the first collection of photos that'll be starting a photo series l've been holding dear to my heart, finally getting to pay repects to the South Florida I grew up in and loved. The South Florida that was once unapologetically loud, full of immigrants proudly uniting vibrant cultures together, and that had raised me riding in the back of my dad's broken down 2000s Nissan Altima with it's speakers blasting songs containing the most explicit lyrics l've ever heard. That's the South Florida I want the world to see. I let my love-hate relationship with this state take what it's given to me for granted, capturing that fleeing essence and keeping it alive is all I can do to show this piece of my world the appreciation it desperately deserves.
