After seeing the powercreep and banner issues that came with Mystic Flour last month, having an immediate follow-up Ancient+ with Dragon Lord Dark Cacao when I already have regular Dark Cacao just sounds like a desperate cash grab and a whole mess of trying to balance and justify the whole thing despite having the whole player base descending on them.

It took another live truck protest outside their HQ to get them to nix this concept. The last time such a campaign was a success in this community was them protesting the addition of Invocation Cards! And that was a whole 3 years ago!

As for the newly proposed Awakening system… well… they’d be better off peddling a sort of magic candy equivalent for them like they did for the Legendaries, and even then they’ll find a way to monetize it and make it as unfair in balance as possible. That’s the direction I’m imagining this Awakening system going as of now.

Yeahhhhh the idea of Ancient+ being a thing is a mess. I wouldn’t spend more than a few rounds in Arena while this new Dark Cacao Cookie is on the banner. I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t on the normal banner during the premiere banner tbh

Editor here, thanks for the support, anon! I started this blog to follow the trend of Cookie Run news accounts and blogs, and mostly chose Tumblr because there are not as many blogs on this platform as something like Twitter. Although I do have fun with it and doing these posts in a format like this, I was certainly not prepared for the rigid schedules between both Ovenbreak and Kingdom and trying to keep this blog active on my own schedule. But now that my schedule is mostly clear for a while, I should be able to continue doing these more constantly, whether there are clear skies ahead, or whether the looming clouds of a Discord friendship-turned-being-blocked after several months of being friends linger over my head going on three months and counting.

As for the pause in Kingdom news, all the Kingdom posts are on the down-low for now because Cookie Detective is rather... demanding with its constant flow of information and updating news on the story. And with a whopping 16 suspects, 10 case notes for one testimony, and limited missions for more notes (with a whopping 25 for the Dailies, which cover 50 needed for one round lasting two days), that adds up to 160 case notes total for all the testimonies in a round, and 110 of them having to be collected manually on the maps every two days. And once the one-time missions run out, that’s when efforts to collect these testimonies have to add up on my end. Unfortunately, I cannot keep up on that end to bring all those responses and the evidence that comes with each one to you. Hopefully in part 2 (which was revealed in the monthly Diary Quests), the numbers are less taxing on me.
