just wanted to say that eddie's recovery is going well ! we still have to syringe him water, which he has quickly gotten used to which is great, and he will eat food on his own which is even better !
he is on an appetite stimulant, and several other meds, but he was up to some normal puppy mischief between naps which is the best sign of all
im just so fucking relieved dudes like. man im so so glad & thank you all again for your well wishes and support it's meant a lot 💕

eddie ate all on his own this afternoon, and he was very active and happy so he's all clear to come home tonight ! he's still gonna need a lot of care but he's definitely on the mend

eddie is spending another day in the hospital, vet said he just wasn’t quite ready yet and we absolutely agreed. i honestly believe that discharging him on thursday was a huge mistake and set back his healing process, and they absolutely did not go through any specific info we needed to care for him at home at all.
but he was doing “pretty well” today and my mom got to spend extra time with him ! unfortunately that’s bc another puppy came in with parvo & the tech had to care for him, and i feel so bad for that pup too like parvo is legitimately the fucking worst. i hope they’re more cautious w/ the other puppy than they were with eddie at first
anyway im kinda relieved he’s staying another 24hrs, and they’re supposed to give him an appetite stimulant to try and get him to eat/drink on his own. as long as he’s drinking on his own im confident we can finish out his recovery here, eating isn’t the hugest deal but making sure he’s hydrated is paramount
still nervous abt him coming home but hopefully he’ll really be doing a lot better
