âSo what should we do with all this wonderful alone time?â
The party had been crazy at first, but as the night wore on and everyone got more and more intoxicated with the bountiful alcohol they were supplied with. It was all in celebration of the Spargus Prince, of course, and for the first few hours Keira couldnât manage to get anywhere near him. Every now and then sheâd steal a glance at him, just to see him avert his gaze or stare right at her with those intense blue eyes of his until someone else captured his attention.
After for what seemed like ages, they had both found their way to a more secluded area, everyone having forgotten about the hero in favour of talking loudly and dancing weirdly. Keira, drink in hand, sipped idly until said blonde practically slid up beside her, a dangerous glint in his eye that was only outmatched by his devilish smirk. She swallowed the alcohol slowly, something in her stomach sending butterflies up into her brain.
His next statement didnât help, either. Green eyes widening, she glanced around them, almost in disbelief that he was really talking to her. Oh yeah, she was definitely the only one hereâŚ
Pushing some hair out of her face to tuck it behind her ear, she felt her own face and ears heat up. Though she could blame that on the alcohol, right?Â
But a smile managed to tug up her lips despite this, shifting her weight onto one foot as she glanced off to the side a little bashfully.
"Iâm just amazed youâre getting any alone time at all, youâre pretty popular. And youâd want to spend it with me?" She glanced down at the party, feeling just a little nervous beside him now.
