oh man this is literally what stops me from writing her because it’s so easy to just, overdue the language like they do in game. Like yes, people can mess up on pretenses and such, I have family who’s first language isn’t English and I have to help them between those things, but they do it and exaggerate it SO MUCH!

EXACTLY! and it doesn’t improve post timeskip? like would that not have been a great opportunity to be like ‘ok petra’s been in fodlan ten years now and she started learning their language at a young age, so here’s her improvement!’? but it remains a fun character quirk akin to raphael eating all the time and it’s just... lazy, honestly! 

“Welcome! Please take a seat and I’ll bring you our me-B-bakugo-kun!?” 

Out of everyone in the festival the last person she expected to see in their small sweet shop was the explosive blonde. Suddenly a wave of self-consciousness washed over Makaira at her outfit and hair-do. A traditional pink and white Yukata with a yellow belt wrapped around her middle that matched the yellow sakura blossom air pin that rested above her ear.

Hopefully, he wouldn’t make any comments about it, at least not many rude ones. 

"Pl-please, take a seat.”

“I’ll bring you our menu and a cup of tea!” 

Giving a short bow she began walking away, stopping at other tables on the way back to the front desk for a folder and their free serving of tea. It was truly a surprise, had he come back it was their stall? 

Maybe it was just a coincidence.

“I believe I’ve owed you this for a long time.”  

Holding onto Yuuga’s hand the man took short steps as he led his boyfriend up the roof. A piece of tape holding a glitter scarf in place as Hanta maneuvered the Pro - Hero past plotted plants to get to the center of his simpily crafted gift.

“Stay still.”

Slowly his fingers began to pull the cover off, chuckling sheepishly to himself. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it didn’t lack emotion or meaning. Hanta had worked tirelessly to prepare this night. Days of cleaning their roof in secret, organizing every small detail to perfection.

"I know it’s not a mountainside..but I hope you still want to watch the stars with me.”

There in front of the young couple rested a book-cover scene. Fairylights hanging from the plants around them weaved together high above a cozy blanket that rested over the floor. 

Plates of diced fruits, vegetables and bread were prepared besides a basket that held a variety of cheeses one could only know of their existence by living with Yuuga.

i think this has actually been mentioned before but when hinata sees tetsu smile and that one tooth pokes out? she just goes ape shit. inconsolable over how cute that is. thinks about it hours later with her face in her hands just “he’s so fucking.......... CUTE fuck off!!!!!”

the first time hinata’s set to meet tetsu’s family she is. ALL nerves. probably spends the three days leading up to it frantically googling like “how to make a good first impression” and “what to bring to a first meeting with your s/o’s family” and “how to talk like you don’t have family issues” while cursing the fact that she has spent most of her formative years spending all her time at the fucking gym and not learning how to do this. on that note, tetsu doesn’t get a “meet the family” so much as he gets a “meet the owner and a handful of regulars at hinata’s gym who delight in ribbing her about finally bringing him around”.
