Queerpunk is a movement that believes in uplifting all queer people, acknowledging the differences and overlaps of queer identities/labels, and celebrating the beauty of the queer experience.
↳ Queerpunk includes all queer identities, including contradictory labels, obscure labels, mogai/liom identities, and people who choose not to use labels. You just have to consider yourself queer in some way.
↳ Queerpunk was made to support queer people. It focuses on self love and the queer experiences. It highlights the fact that queer identities are often messy and that there is no one queer experience, but despite that fact we are unified. Our differences are valuable, and do not drive us apart
↳ Queerpunk also focuses on respect. There is no "right way" to be queer, and there is no experience that is "more queer" than others. We respect each others, and understand that there is no "faking" our experiences. Queerpunk understands that the only person who is able to question, judge, and label someones identity is that person.
↳ Queerpunk is not to be used by people who gatekeep, hurt, and harass others. Exclusionists and fakeclaimers are not queerpunk.
↳The symbol is the mathematical symbol for "there exists", a backwards "E". This symbolizes that queer people exist, that we are here and we are sticking around
↳The dark purple on the flag represents unity of queer people, and the other shades of purple represent the diversity of queer people.
