10 Things I Learned While We Were Retrieving The Evil Dergonborn:
1. The only thing Gotorash fears is shadows.
2. 'Roth can actually be pretty goatdamn scary, fuck. The way that Spec set the mood was fucking mindblowing, and I really enjoyed that part of the storytelling.
3. I suck as a fucking ranger. Like, really bad. But Ryan is the best monk.
4. "This is not normal darkness, this is plot darkness." - Still the best A+ response from the DM, in response to me being a smartass.
5. I have no bonus in Dex. checks and I'm 5', but watch this little half-orc leap majestically over reaching shadows and book it out of town.
6. RYAN KILLED BALROTH WITHOUT CONSIDERING OTHER OPTIONS!? Like, I know the DMs were like, "naw it will be fine", BUT RYAN DIDN'T KNOW THAT!? RYAN DOING MORAL CHECKS WORRIES ME.
7. Gotorash is at least slightly aware of the DMs, as he ate spoiled food while staring down the Raccoon.
8. The High Deliverer taking over Gold's body, and being a little shit the entire time, will always be my jam.
9. The Raccoon trying to sneak in that "Would these be considered Tears of True Sadness?" thing and me having to roll a moral check ON MYSELF. (Spoiler: I failed it, and decided no.)
10. I had trouble refuting Balroth's evil speech because Gotorash kind of agreed with it?? Like, not that striking down anyone who tries to oppose you stuff, but not wanting anyone else to die, and wanting there to be peace. I don't really think the team knows how close Goto was to switching sides on that one, yikes. (He still called ‘Roth a Tyrant to his face, though.)
