one moment, things were fine. jules was heading out of the festival to go home. the next? the explosions, jules pulling brooklyn to safety only for them to get trapped. if it hadn't been for jason, they probably never would have made it out. but they had. despite suffering a few minor injuries, she was fine. despite that though, going to the hospital only made sense. laying on the bed in the emergency room, she breathed in the oxygen that was given to her. she had already been there for an hour. had seen the doctor, had her minor burns bandaged up. she was fine. hearing the curtain pull back, she was surprised to see vinny there. yet at the same time, even if she didn't show it, she was happy that he was there. "when i was trapped in the fire, i never thought i would get to see you again." she admitted. that had been the one thing she feared the most. it was also the one thing that had prompted her to text him the second all hell broke loose. to make sure that he was okay.

The crowd was continuing to grow thicker, the once posed bodies swaying with a bit too much drink and laughter. These sorts of events were not something Bastian enjoyed or wanted to take part in, but for the Rifters? He'd deal with it. And he was… until-
