Echo Ladies - Pink Noise (2018).......My favorite genre shoegaze seems to be dying out with each passing year. Hard to find good ones recently. This year so far has been terrible for the genre except for reissues of Daysleepers and a new one from Air Formation. Had big expectations for Pinkshinyultrablast but turned out to be a total downer for me. Then I discovered these guys. Three piece from Sweden who delivers beautiful dream pop/shoegaze in the veins of Slowdive and JAMC. Fell in love with their sound on their debut EP and eagerly waited the proper debut. The album has finally arrived and definitely the best shoegaze album this year. The music is great and has all the elements I love about shoegaze. I just wished the album packaging was better than this. Really cheap jacket although the vinyl sounds quite good. If youβre into this genre definitely worth checking this out.
