Echoflect
When you strongly relate and/or see yourself in a fictional character. Created as an alternative to the non-fictionkin "kinning" so that there's no need to water down other terms
Usage:
[Character] is my echo. I'm a [Character] echoflect. I echoflect [Character]. Echoflection is fun.
FAQ:
Why not just kinning? Being a kin of a character is more than simply relating to it and "kinnie" is overall seen as a derogatory term towards the otherkin community. Even if you say that kinning and being a fictionkin are different things and that terms change meaning over time many feel uncomfortable with it and don't want to use it.
Why not synpath then? I think it would water down the term. Being a synpath is still a very important part of one's identity, just like being an otherkin is, and most people who "kin" characters don't have such deep connection, from what I've seen.
Is it an alterhuman term? No, it doesn't differ from the "common societal idea of humanity".
Am I an echoflect? Most likely yes, I feel like everyone has at least one character that they relate to. Whether you want to actually use the label is up to you tho.
Anything else? Feel free to use it however you want. Do you want to say that you reflect the character instead of echoflecting it, or to call yourself an "echoling" of a character? Go on. Do you want to make a new flag or symbol? Sure. Do you want to call yourself an echoflect but feel like you don't relate strong enough or maybe too much? Do whatever you want, I don't mind. The only thing I ask you is not to use it in a way that would harm others
That's all, if there are any more questions feel free to ask
Edit: made softer versions of the flags
