I don’t know if you’ve noticed the back and forth going on, but it was brought to my attention that one of my stories, Captivated, has been stolen and put up on ebooks-tree.com.  Suffice to say, I’m pretty infuriated.  They’ve also hijacked the works of quite a few other authors who I am friends with and admire.  This.  Is.  Not.  Cool.  

If you have fic up on AO3 or FF.Net, you may want to go check this website to see if it has been stolen as well.  I’m currently working on sending them a takedown notice.  If you find your work has been stolen, here is a link to some helpful advice on getting it taken down.  Thank you so much to whatcolourmyeyes for passing that on.  

Now, this is unfortunate, but at the moment I am considering changing my AO3 settings so only registered users can read it.  From what I understand, the ebooks-tree website uses a bot to pull fic.  That should keep bots from getting access.  This sucks, because I hate limiting my readership.  I especially hate limiting it due to utter bullshit like having it stolen.  I’m so sorry, guys.  Right now I’m not really sure what else to do.  :(
