Pishh, pishh, pishh.
The sound of waves crashing over each other
in a rush to reach the shore. Adaline let the
waves crumble over her feet, not fearing the
waters like normal. A small smile crossed
her lips,
   âNe, Lyny?â
    ---âYeah?â
   âWhatâs it like t' swim?â
---âItâs kind of nice, I suppose?â
âI ne'er learned, even before I had
  my powers, I ne'er knew how t' swim.â
---âI remember. Kind of silly to go
---out to sea without being able to swim.â
âAh, ye know me, I didnâ plan on nearly
  drownin' in th' first week.â
Laughter bubbled out of his mouth, and the
redhead sat up to look at his captain.
---âJust like I didnât plan on becoming a
  ---pirate.â
Now it was Adalineâs turn to laugh, toes curling as
she attempted to hold her giggles back.
âYeah, but ye still joined m' anyway. What
  made ye join?â
---Your beauty. Your courage. Your strength.
  ---You.
None of this was said aloud, instead he huffed and
crossed his arms.
    ---âI lost the bet, remember?â
âNahaha, yeah thaâs right, ye did didnâ ye?â
---âHm. You sure are forgetful, captain.â
âHai hai, sure 'm. Thatâs why âm glad Iâve got you.
Ye 'member more things than I can. 'tâs thanks to
ye tha' I donât go crazy.â
A light smile slid onto the sniperâs lips.
  ---âAnytime, captain, anytime.â
