The “trial balloon” parcel made it through to america despite a hand lettered address, some metal pieces and uneven shape bubble parcel.
Before I make any changes to my ebay, I need some help:
Can ebay items be sent as gifts on the customs forms?
Does ebay charge VAT and add it to bill and the address (it’s often in the form of ‘PAID: numbers’)? This is for items bought from europe by american or canadian buyers.
Anyone want me to set aside a particular reroot and JPP items? (under 3cm height only so barbie, licca, monsters - heads only) With the understanding that only one parcel marked “$10 value gift” has made it through so far
Searches so far don't answer these questions. Obviously I'll be adding multiple cn23s and two bills and putting the value at 25$ (even if it's more) but have you been dinged by customs for items under $100? If so was it because they didn't have proper forms?
These are actually really cute
Warning Swedish Cosplayers (and anyone buying shit online in this country)
Just recently postnord (the primary delivery service in sweden) put in effect a tax on any package coming from out of the EU equal to 7,50 euros. This means that if you for example buy something for one euro from eBay and it is shipped from Kina (as most things are) it will still cost you 8,50 euros (or 85 kronor). It is complete bullshit and I'm mad as hell at the fuckbags who thought this was a good idea especially since I just recently bought a couple of things from out of the EU for cosplay purposes (things I cannot send back). This means that I have to pay an additional 30 euros to the things I bought even though I didn't buy for more than 20 €, altogether it will cost me around 50 € (or 500 kr). It is a horrible abuse of e-commerce which at this point really is just a part of daily life.
I hope that they will fix this sometime soon, the backlash is already huge enough, but until then I just wanted to get this warning out to anyone in the habit of buying from out of the European borders, living in sweden.
I hope you all stay safe and aren't surprised by any unwelcome additional costs in your day-to-day life. Goodnite.
