There’s a thing in photography known as “hyperfocal” where you predetermine where your focus will be according to your preset depth of field. I’ve been using it a lot, this past year.. when i’m out and about with manual focus lenses.. planning for things to happen, rather than just reacting. It’s a different way of thinking. So much about photography is being ready for things, and predicting what’s going to happen.
