Hi Dave!
Couple weeks ago my husband received a text from a work friend that they had a loose rooster on their property. No one knows where he came from, but my hubby took one look at the pictures he was sent and shortly thereafter we’d spent the day trying to capture the lil guy. Luckily he’d settled down somewhere low to roost so we could grab him.
Easter Egger if we had to guess. Judging by his apparent spur growth seems rather young… like not quite a year? Rather healthy too, he’s not dirty he’s just naturally colored that way. He’s gotten quite chatty and is getting ok with handling. Still not entirely sure how he got where he was, he’d had to have been wandering for some time if he had just wandered away from home- no one in that immediate area had chickens as far as we could tell… we suspect a dumping though… either way no one local appears to be missing a boy, one hasn’t been reported missing and hubby who is fairly active on the local Reddit says no one there knew anything either.
So he’s here with us. He’s a sweetie so we’re happy to have him. Hi Dave!
