Paddle on! Last week I took my boys to Scouts BSA Summer Camp and we had a great time. I took a canoe out and found Arty practicing his kayaking, so we went paddling around the lake together. Geronimo! We went to the Lower McCloud Falls and jumped off the rocks into 40° water below! I'm very proud of my boys for overcoming their fears and trying something new! 3rd place male in the Mount Shasta 10K! This was a great race by @shastatrailruns on a beautiful course up the Gateway Trail! Amazing views of the mountain but wow, that race took it out of me with plenty of hills! A few people fell pretty hard on the rocks along the way but thankfully everyone made it over the finish line! 5.84 mile run at 5:30 am? Don't mind if I do! 5 miles on the Lake Siskiyou trail with Arron! I was all set to go for a run one morning when my kid asked me if he could come along. At first I hesitated because I knew I wouldn't be able to run at my own pace but then I realized that I won't have unlimited opportunities to spend time with my son.
