Today's Flickr photo with the most hits is another one taken on the recent bubble walk. You can see the railway bridge and embankment (R Crosland's Bradford Foundry) in the middle distance. This one was invited to a Flickr group called Telegraph Pole Tuesday. Wonder of Wonders!
Some days the Flickr photo that generates the most hits surprises me, somewhat. I take photos for a variety of reasons, and this one I shot to document this piece of old industrial architecture; a (disused) railway bridge with a foundry stamp. It was manufactured by R Crosland of Bradford for the Colne - Skipton line (which opened in 1848). Crosland's Union Foundry was taken over by Joseph Cliff, in 1866, and Cliff subsequently went out of business in 1873. The railway itself closed on February 2nd, 1970.
