#e-twinning

A special event took place in the Model Experimental Junior High School of Rethymno on the 20th of June 2019. 

In that event, a lot of school activities were presented to parents, students, ex-students and members of the community. 

The school runs a lot of clubs as an Experimental School like Literature, Photography, Social Action, Vlogging. Special projects such as  Stem and theatrical workshop were also presented. 

As it concerns the Erasmus+ projects ‘‘Together for Inclusion” project was presented also by the School’s Pedagogical Group. 

As it concerns my personal involvement I presented with my colleague Arsenis Arsenakis our collaborative Club Let’s Vlogging, were the students’ vlogs were synthesized in a compilation video. I participate also in the above Erasmus + project.

The BackpackID Erasmus the project was also presented since students from the school participated in the projects first application in the classroom.

e-twinning Projects

The school run in that school year several e-twinning projects. Two of them were presented in the school’s final fest, Through teen’s lenses, that was fulfilled by my colleague Anastasia Rigaki and Technomythology that took place by me. 

The first project presents the students’ everyday life to promote the multiple identities that connect us beyond borders. In the second project, the myths are the source were technological issues are raised.

At the end of the fest, we released balloons named by the above e-twinning projects.

Sometimes you start a project and the idea seems simple. But that’s only the beginning. In a classroom, you never know what is going to come up. 

Thanks to my friends Lorenza and Simone I started my first e-twinning project. A project that Maria Rosaria runs. One of our tasks was to write wishes on (real paper) cards. And here it starts

But this is only the beginning. A whole discussion started about religion (Does everybody celebrates Christmas? Should I wish only Happy New Year?), politics ($ in a Christmas card!) and even language policies (In which language should I write the card?).

Language policy is my favorite and a subject we discuss a lot. A single card attracted my attention. I introduced translaguaging very simple and very shortly. I didn’t’  expect that amazing card!

These students can change the world!

Nell'ambito dell'alternanza scuola lavoro giovani studenti imparano a realizzare un'impresa internazionale

5 classi, 88 studenti, 1 tutor e 5 docenti si sono riuniti i giorni 19 e 20 dicembre per costituire un'impresa internazionale.

Fantascienza? No, è il progetto Students Lab in modalità E-Twinning!

Sono tutti provenienti dal terzo anno i giovani studenti dell'istituto De Nicola che hanno partecipato al progetto.

Grazie alla collaborazione tra l'Associazione Students Lab e Valnalòn Educa, gli studenti hanno avuto la possibilità di intraprendere questo percorso che li porterà non solo alla costituzione della loro impresa ma anche alla sua internazionalizzazione, tramite la realizzazione di scambi economici con altri studenti coinvolti nella stessa iniziativa ma dislocati all'estero. Ogni impresa infatti entrerà in contatto per gestire la vendita, la spedizione di prodotti e per confrontarsi sui progetti avviati.

Un vero e proprio scambio culturale ed economico che vuole anche rafforzare la cooperazione internazionale e la diffusione delle culture locali (ogni impresa infatti dovrà vendere anche un prodotto locale).

I giovani studenti in questi primi due giorni hanno costituito ben 10 imprese, hanno iniziato a definire come realizzare i loro prodotti e come promuoverli al meglio.

Il progetto continuerà per altri due mesi, durante i quali i giovani studenti dovranno cimentarsi nel reperimento del capitale sociale, realizzazione del prodotto e la vendita.
