This drawing is inspired by my expercince of Dyslxia. I grew up in a time when Dyslxia was not regocnised when I was at school, children with it where called lazzy and stupid all the names you think of. It was diffcuilt as I stuck out as a kid who was thick....I had to learn a very hard lesson .....that we r oursrlves and not other peoples idea of who we r. It takes crouage to know your not an idiot ...when your school report calls u lazzy stuip dumb u get the picter. #dyslxia is a complecx issue and many people with dyslxia r #creative many use #visualart #visual #language for #communication. I am at the @thisisliveart and I had a day yurvou as I came in this moring. Thess books were on a table and so I inquried.As u do. I looked for #dyslexic #dyslxia and #neurodiversity found neither. I looked for invisable and words such as #participant Found none thess books may be old as our #stories r still untold. Am I the #superhero made good or the #villian becise of couse my #disabiliy sets me apart from all the rest...and if not one of those I am #tragic indervidua with no hope. The books r good after all I was part of Ldaf..london disabilty arts fourm...or diabilty arts mag the Diormaor and more this change we r all hopeing for is from the 80, s not much younger than #femenism. As its all still new the tranistion is not there....and our diveristy is vast...I am not just Dyslxic I have complex mental distress issuess to and physcail condtion.
