Meeting his mom date

Ever since he was young, Deuce has been raised by a single mom and even now he never knew what happened to his dad...it was okay if it was just him and his mom along his grandmother.
But there are times he wish to have a dad...
And yet somehow...he manage have that wish come true...
It was around afternoon when he receive a call from his mom that she met someone and began dating him, she also wanted him to meet the man and they started dating.
Deuce has mixed feelings to this...he still recall his conversation.
"Mom, are you...serious right now? You got a date?!"
"Yep! And his such a sweetheart, plus I was hoping to have you meet him tomorrow. I know its sudden and all but I know you'll love him too...I know its hard being raised by single mom as myself...but I hope-"
"Mom, its okay...in fact I don't mind but...is it okay if I bring my friend along since I might be nervous wreck?"
"Oh sure dear! It would be nice to meet your other friends beside the others we met back at rabbit event, that I don't hate them. I'm just glad you made friends."
And so here he was, sitting in cafeteria table with Ace, Yuu and Grim.
"So your telling me that your mom had snag herself a date and your wondering if were available tomorrow?" Ace asked and Deuce nodded.
"Yes, Epel is probably going to be busy with pratice, Sebek too and Jack, Ortho is going to have a tour from Vil since he wanted him to join along to take notes."
Yuu sipped there drink and responded "If you want, I can join...Ace has to meet up with Floyd and Jamil for basketball pratice."
Deuce is relief to know Yuu is willing to go and gave out a smile "Thanks Yuu."
Next day, outside a cabin restaurant in Shaftlands.
Deuce is nervous... a complete nervous wreck, he stood at what seems to be a family-style cabin restaurant. He wore a black-blue button shirt tuck out, nice pair of black jeans, and shoes.
Yuu wore a simple sweater and pants along boots. Grim is in backpack sleeping after trip. Luckily the restaurant is pet friendly.
"Ready?" Yuu asked knowing they'll be there for him and Deuce held his hand.
"Yeah..."
Upon entering the restaurant, the staff worker approach and Deuce told the waiter of his surname and guide them to a table were Dylla is.
She wore a turtleneck sweater, vest, jeans, and her work boots.
It's balcony showcasing the beautiful lake and mountains, Deuce hugged his mom and Yuu greeted her again.
"Ah Yuu! It's so nice to meet you again!"
"You as well Mrs. Spade, your son is doing well and sorry if his being nervous..."
Dylla shake her head and smile "I see, Deuce it's okay to be nervous. I just hope you and my date will get a long just fine."
Deuce nodded as he held glass of water "I know mom...it's just...I'm surprise and worried...but how did you two met? And who's is this guy you dated?"
Dylla was about to respond when she saw the person she dated and smile "Oh his here!"
The moment the two turn...Deuce jaw drop and Yuu eyes widen.
The person who is dating Dylla...is none other than...Ashton Vargas.
He wore a simple white tight t-shirt, jeans, and boots along a bomber brown jacket and gloves.
Deuce is the first to speak but in stutter "C-C-C-Coach Vargas?!"
Ashton is shocked to see Deuce and Yuu "Spade? Yuu? What are you two doing here?"
Deuce is lost for words, but luckily he has Yuu to have speak.
"Deuce told me yesterday of his mom, Mrs. Spade about the date and meet up...didn't expect it to be you sir..."
Ashton felt like an idiot and forgot that Deuce surname is Spade and the woman his dating is mother of his student.
"Ah...it makes sense, I forgot...but I'm shock..."
