Trouble. She’d like to say that she could sense it from a mile away, most others would call her a paranoid wreck but it was painfully obvious to anyone in a five mile radius that the man before her was certainly trouble. Call it a hunch. Cynthia called it far too much time spent with the wrong kind of people.

That was so unbelievably sweet. Stars above. Angela tried to keep her smile from growing further, but it refused to cooperate. She reached out and gently ran a hand through his hair before leaning over to nuzzle him.

“     must  you  always  endanger  yourself  ,  jamie  ?  i  won’t  always  be  here  to  tend  to  your  wounds  --   please  ,  be  more  careful  .     ”

sympathetic  yet  slightly  irritable  .  it  was  in  their  nature  to  involve  themselves  in  risky  tasks  and  having  her  to  aid  familiar  faces  from  time  to  time  .  but  unlike  the  many  few  who  sought  help  ,  junkrat’s  visits  spiked  through  the  roof  in  just  a  short  time .  she  was  mindful  of  not  allowing  another  lecture  come  between  them  ,  yet  she  was  eager  of  him  to  follow  instructions  for  once  .   the   mere  thought  of  losing  a  patient  never  did  sit  well  with  her  .   

lips  curled  into  a  genuine  smile  :  at  ease  that  after  a  few  hours  of  suturing  the  minor  wound ,  his  recovery  was  a  success  .  her  index  finger  gently  readjusted  the  frame  of  her  glasses  with  a  light  push  ,  giving  her  a  better  view  of  the  files  in  hand  .   avoiding  any  means  of  eye  contact  that  would  hint  at  how  she  had  felt  about  the  entire  situation  :  maintaining  a  professional  image .

“     unfortunately  ,  i’m  going  to  have  to  keep  you  admitted  til  the  end  of  the  week  to  make  sure  that  wound  is  completely  healed  .     ”      a  soft  sigh  was  expelled  before  another  word  was  heard  .     “       it  gives  me  time  to  make  sure  there  aren’t  any  explosives  near  you  during  your  healing  process  .     ”
