What's new in the platform for October 2012
October has been mainly focused on the TimesheetLink platform.
Public Holidays and Geographic Regions
TimesheetLink now has additional screens to define public holidays and the geographic regions (aka States) to which they they apply.
In the past, we've had to resort to static lists of public holidays to be defined within the Timesheet itself. Now, this list can be managed with the TimesheetLink solution. This means that Timesheets do not need to be updated at all but that this data can be fed into the Timesheet dynamically.
TimesheetLink Import Process Changes
When importing Timesheets into MYOB, the user will now have the ability of selecting which Timesheets they want to import.
Dynamic XLA
More work has been done to a technology we've dubbed Dynamic XLA. This allows some sections of the AddonsLink platform to be loaded as needed into memory. This should speed up the platform as a whole and will allow it to grow larger without impacting performance.
We will need to retrofit this technology to older parts of the platform. But any new parts will be created with this technology in mind.
