Currently my favorite thing ever & it’s been on loop (even as it was being teased with mere snippets)

Released on May 2, 2025, “Carry” is such a gentle song. When I listen to it, it translates into a tender & loving embrace. Additionally, the music video is very fitting to the track, as it captures the relationship between the two— youthful, caring, playful, and natural. It’s an honor to have the ability to love. Whether platonic or romantic, adoring someone/something is a beautiful feeling.

Yesterday I took a long walk back home with this song on replay. It was cloudy & cold; perfect weather to wander around in. I even let the slight drizzle hit my face as every car, tree, and overgrown garden passed me by. All I wanted to do was smile and walk forward. There was also a memorial on my way home. It was full of flowers, pictures, and gifts— some being snacks and liquor.

It’s wonderful to be alive, & have music accompany me through moments like these. I’m thankful to be here, right now.

Although this song is primarily about how Thom feels about their significant other, I associate it with self love. This track reminds me that I’m worthy of love & being passionate about the feeling. Even when you don’t notice, people genuinely love and honor you. There are people that care. You deserve to see yourself through a loving perspective in the way another loves you or vice-versa.

I absolutely recommend giving this song a listen if you enjoy a sweet acoustic jam. (And most definitely when you’re walking around in nature for over an hour.)
