He’d bounce between survivor groups till one of those them left him to be attacked by a volatile at 17. Recovery was very slow and hard, it had Alec bed ridden for a long time with only help from the very few people they actually trusted, Lawan being one of them. When they were healed enough he left and became a bit of a loner after that, still helped out the community but there was some distance now.

They’re a smart survivor, when moving between groups for work and safety they’d watch closely how other people would go about survival and add it to his skill set. He also watches the infected and does behavioural analysis on them, especially volatiles after being attacked.
