"You cannot seriously think you can convince me that you aren't interested," Daisy continued, talking around a mouthful of her own pancakes. It would have been gross if Bowser weren't long desensitized to the sight and sound, and weren't guilty of it himself many times over. "I know you'd be good for it."
"What part of 'I need to keep my head down' are you not remembering?" Bowser huffed, eyes flicking up to look at her, burning red irises looking far darker under his brows. "Last thing I need is to attract attention from The Plumber." He stated the title in the single most derogatory way, mocking and derisive more than anything reverent. It was not fearful in any case.
Sometimes though, he did make Bowser a little uneasy. As to be expected, all things considered.
Daisy snorted. "What's he gonna do? Take a plunger to you?"
"He might. That is the stuff of nightmares. I don't want to think about whatever shitty situations that's been in," Bowser mused with a huff before shaking his head. "I don't need more problems though. Not the kind of problems that could get me retired, and I know that you don't exactly keep things above board."
"Me? You callin' me a troublemaker?" Daisy asked, acting aghast despite the smile on her face.
"I'm not calling you a trouble solver," Bowser snarked back.
