Imagine being this evil
I'm still shocked after hearing about what happend in Manchester. I can't find the words to describe what I'm feeling. This is devastating. Concerts should be a safe place. I honestly hoped that security at the venues will be improved, especially after Christina Grimmie's death... When will the violence and hatred end? My thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy. Stay safe. x
The aftermath
When you are in a terrorist attack, there isn’t really anyone there to tell you how to cope.
It’s just a wave of people thanking for your safety and hoping for your well-being.
Although you are grateful for their sympathy, it really means nothing.
It means nothing because you are still laying in bed at 4 in the morning with images of bloodied faces and terrified running children playing over and over in your head, none stop.
or the same images appearing in your dreams, making it impossible for you to sleep.
or even appearing when you close your eyes, a new face every blink.
My therapist tells me to distract myself, my friends tell me to try and forget about it.
How am I supposed to forget about an event that causes shivers down my spine every time I hear a bang, or a siren, or a scream.
How do I forget those faces?
Those images.
Sometimes the aftermath is so much worse than the incident that caused it.
We all have to live with knowing that children died instead of us.
Trust me when I say it is the only guilt I have ever truly felt.

And we'll be holding onto you.
my mind is racing and my heart is broken over manchester. concerts have been a place where i've felt accepted, loved, and is a true place of freedom. ariana's concert, when myself and my best friend went back in march, was an amazing show where we felt empowered. concerts always seem to come around the times i have felt most distressed. heartbroken. stressed. anxious. depressed. but a concert comes along and it brings me joy, gives me a new life, and helps me connect with thousands on a level i sometimes cannot connect with others. so hearing about the events in manchester, i gasped, and i cried. i cried because how many young people, kids even, were feeling distressed. heartbroken. stressed. anxious. depressed. before coming to the show? how many used the show as an escape from real life, only to have real life invade a safe space? so please--keep your loved ones close. listen to music that makes you feel happy. hold those who have passed in your hearts, and give out good prayers, vibes, and whatever you can to those still struggling. concerts are supposed to be a safe space. a place of love, freedom, and acceptance. so spread that kind of love around folks, and stay safe. 💞💞
