so, i’m only on the first few chapters, but i have to tell you that @dvffy‘s book brings a whole new level to dark humour, complex plots, and a sci-fi/supernatural twist on slice of life. i am always... and without sounding like a complete snob... reticent to believe that people on tumblr –– nineteen and sixteen year olds –– are actually writing books that may one day be published and on the front page of an editor’s tabloid, but please let me gush and tell you that the amount of effort v has instilled in this book shines through in her writing, in her characterizations, in her metaphors, and the over all caliber of this fantastic work of art. for a long time i’ve wondered if pink was “the real deal” or simply side project, too often pushed aside in lieu of present pleasures, and now having read it, i can tell you with 100% certainty that v’s “Pink” is one of those books you will think about long after setting it down. pink is funny, its creative, it brings a new meaning to supernatural elements and the deeper i delve into it, the more profound my love is for it. i am completely immersed in this universe (who is a bitch, btw) woven by V herself and i can’t wait for you all to read it when it’s out.
