Late night talks, those are always the best. She’s sitting with her back pressed against Hana’s bed, tightly clinging to one of her own pillows. The bags under her eyes feel heavier than luggage, jaw clenched tight enough to grind her teeth. Not being able to sleep? That’s the part that sucks. She feel’s Hana run fingers through her hair, almost bleeding the tension from her body. Heavenly fingertips that bring her peace. Enough to let her eyes flutter shut.
The topic was as per usual. The worry if they’re doing enough--If they’ll be enough. They know what they’re doing is for a good higher than them--But is it really all that good for them. Who’s the smart-ass that said lets gather a small group of our youth and have them put their lives on the line constantly. Yeah. This is a sound idea. Yuna constantly talked about how dangerous this was--How they’ll never be the same...Will they ever be able to stop the Gwishin? What happens when they falter just once, this entire counter counts on them. So many lives, so many people on their shoulders. When she worries like this, she finds herself telling Hana how much she loves her. She always worries the next mission they run would be their last. What happens if they come back without one another?--
you’re the most important person in the world to me.
Her breath stops, chin tilting to look at Hana out the corner of her eyes. The whiskers are gone, there’s no suit plastered in sponsors. No signature headset. It’s just Hana, who’s eyes crinkle just a bit when she speaks, the tiniest of smiles quirking her lips. And it’s still enough to brighten up the whole damn room. Her pulse quickens, and Yuna forces herself to swallow, having to remember to breathe every few seconds. Damn. She picks at her fingers, dipping her head so her hair could hide her face. “Yeah...Well,” Her eyes burn, and she blinks rapidly for a few seconds.
“You too...With me.” She still fumbles when she’s flustered. It’s cute. “That just makes this more stressful. I’m not exactly fond of the love of my life risking herself all the time...” Neither of them really have room to talk.
