The End
THE END — i’ll make up an ending, or post the ending if i’ve written it
okay so. the thing you gotta know about me is that I have many (many) WIPs in the backburner going on at all times, so you get two :V (untitled so far because that's just how I roll~)
1) 2.43 Seiin Boys' Volleyball Team, Oda/Aoki future fic:
Then again, it’s Aoki; he trusts him to have his back, just like how Aoki trusts him to lead the way and take them somewhere they’ve never been before. Together.
He can do it.
“Seriously, how obvious do I gotta be?” He gives their joined hands another swing and risks a glance up, meeting Aoki’s open expression head on. “Aren’t you supposed to be the smart one?”
That earns him a quiet huff of laughter. “I guess,” Aoki shifts his gaze away, voice gentle like he’s revealing a secret. “Then again, I've never been this terrified of getting it wrong.” It tingles, where Aoki’s thumb brushes across the back of his hand, and he can feel Aoki’s fingertips tremble, just a little.
He can’t help it—he rolls his eyes, bumping into Aoki’s side with a fond rush of exasperation. “Well, you don’t have to worry about that.”
“I don’t, huh?” Aoki looks at him with tender eyes, his usual thin smile softened by affection.
He squeezes his best friend’s (boyfriend’s!) hand, tugging Aoki along the winding streets of Kyoto at dusk, “Not with me.”
(this scene is the second thing i’ve written for this fic... i still gotta plan out the stuff in-between to give my boys their happy ending (well. happy beginning)
it’s just... odaoki is still going strong in the interlude chapter of the college arc of 2.43! i love the volleyboys)
2) JJBA: DiU, Okuyasu and family
“Tch. Go live your own life, brat.” Keicho clicks his tongue, turning away from his little brother with a parting wave. “And watch your ass when you get back, Okuyasu.” I’m proud of you. Stay safe.
“I will.” Okuyasu says from somewhere behind him. “Anyway, it’s Josuke I’m worried about right now,” he sighs, somehow anxious and stubbornly fond at once.
Then all Keicho hears is the echo of Okuyasu’s uneven footfalls in the darkness, sprinting further and further away with each passing second. His baby brother’s going home to people who care about him, who love him, who’d be there for him…
Good. Fuckin’ finally.
(tbh idk if this is the ending? might have a segment set in the future where Okuyasu and Josuke are living together, since the first segment of the fic features Josuke’s feelings about Okuyasu’s depressing house...
if I do decide on ending it with the future segment:
“Aww shit, gotta run!” “Aren’t you forgetting something?” “Uh…” Josuke taps his lips impatiently. “Where’s my goodbye kiss, bro?” Oh, right! “Have a quiet night, yeah?” Josuke murmurs as they break apart, squeezing Okuyasu’s shoulder. Okuyasu rubs the back of his neck. “You know it ain’t up to me.” Then again, the number of bizarre violent incidents in the area have been slowly petering off through the years; Morioh’s been kept safe thanks to the Stand users in town, who are numerous in number and territorial by nature. “Good luck with grading.” “Yeah, I’m gonna need it.” Josuke makes a face. It’s a cute look on him, but then again, Josuke’s always cute. Okuyasu gives him another peck, this time on the cheek, before pelting out the door to catch the bus that’ll take him to S Town for his shift at the hospital. Sometimes he still can’t believe how lucky he is, that a swell guy like Josuke likes a guy like him so much. But hey, firsthand experience shows they’re an unstoppable duo, just like Simon and Garfunkel. And if there’s anything he’s learned over the years, it’s that a guy like him ain’t such a bad thing to be, anyway.
