BIO

jennifer is the youngest daughter of joham and the youngest half-sister of serena, maysun and nahuel. she was born in the year 1991 in ohio, killing her mother in childbirth. she grew up with her sisters for the most part but joham seemed to stay fairly close to her. it became suffocating and after fifteen years with her family, jennifer had enough. she was constantly observed and grew tired of not being able to have a life of her own. when she began showing signs of her gift, joham’s grip on her tightened even more and he wanted to see the extent of her power.

she soon learned that her family were nothing more than science experiments conducted by her father. she felt like a lab rat more than a person and left. for the past five years, jennifer has roamed from city to city, never staying in one place for too long. she’s been evading her family, specifically serena and joham. maysun isn’t too bad but gives their father too much credit. jennifer visits her brother regularly due to his similar attitude and their shared interests.

violet adley was born in england in 1470. she was raised in an upper class family that had everything going for them. they were close to the monarchy at the time and so had anything they wanted. she was raised to be the perfect daughter, a prime example of femininity and all things lovely. she fell into this quite easily with her good looks and pleasant persona, however, it wasn’t really what she wanted.

violet was married off to a duke and she, in turn, became a duchess. she had a child ( emelia ) with her husband but there was no love in their marriage. she knew at the time that she was lucky to have material wealth and such high class but she didn’t want her daughter to grow up to live the same life that she was enduring. it all felt false and violet couldn’t help but detest it.

she crossed paths with a vampire named lena who had a similar background to her and out of solidarity, turned violet. she minded her daughter for the three days that violet was transitioning and upon awakening, the three of them fled and made a little life for themselves. however, it wasn’t to be, as lena was killed alongside emelia by her past enemies. violet managed to escape but was scarred for the rest of her life to come.

losing her daughter traumatized her to no end and she spend the next few centuries in a frenzied existence. she joined the volturi for a while and then left. she was aggressive and distant. violet was terrified to get close to anyone because of what she’d lost — the pain couldn’t be repeated.

violet now struggles a lot with how the past few centuries have been for her. she’s run into trouble here and there, gotten into a lot of things, but for the most part just settled into a nomadic life. she holds no attachments, mostly out of fear. everything she has with other people can never last.

after years of trying to conceive, several miscarriages and a difficult pregnancy, othella came in the world rosy cheeked and with a set of lungs she had every desire of using.  othella was viewed as a gift, a true miracle that would do honor to the orlov family name once she reached adulthood.  knowledge and intelligence  has been a part of the orlov family since they beginning of their time. it therefore didn’t came as a surprise the same values were bestowed up their miracle child. 

father dearest was a renowned archaeologist who traveled all over the world to find valuable treasures. mother loveliest was a distinguished research professor and one of the greatest psychologists of her time whom created a thesis around her own daughter. her thesis hypothesized that child prodigies were created by upbringing, they weren’t born that way. othella was their most priced possession and therefore had to be a participant in her research. yet to remain unbiased, the orlov family adopted several children from different backgrounds to test her theories. 

growing up, othella was an absolute daddies girl. she always looked up to him and shared his love for the past and their many secrets. it therefore didn’t came as a surprise when it became her main field of expertise. while her mother wasn’t the fondest of her choice, she allowed her to study the subject as long as she would achieve greatness in her field. 

othella was only ever valued for her knowledge, never for the person she truly was. in her younger years she always tried to impress and gain the love of her parents by gaining the most knowledge or write impressive essays. she always wanted to outdo her siblings in order of gaining the unconditional she never got. it wasn’t until her early teenage years that othella started to understand how the dynamics worked. she started to understand that her parents would never value her more then the knowledge she had. which was one of the reasons she started to act out. she started to rebel against the beliefs her parents had. 

when othella reached the age of eighteen she saw her way out of the family. she would leave her family and travel the world just like they always had in their youth. she wanted to find herself and become the person she wanted to be, not the person her parents wanted. eversince her leave, she hadn’t been in contact with  her parents and has no desire to become a subject of their thesis any longer.
