It was just me and Mayday for the first year. Then I met Cheskonova Commons, the daughter of this ex-assassin I had frequent tussles with for a while known as 'Shadow-Man'. Not long after his death, she suited up as Dusk and began helping me out on occasion.
Soon after, I found Kamala and Elijah. I met Kamala in a comic shop a while back after New Atillan got attacked up in Jersey and we hit it off. Found her out at night trying to hero-it-up out on the street, stopping a store robbery. Someone had to scoop her up before she got arrested by C.R.A.D.L.E and I wasn't going to let a new friend get caught if I could help it.
Elijah was trickier. The story was that he got caught in an accident and had to get a life-saving blood transfusion from his ex-super soldier grandpa. It all slipped under the records, and rather than sign himself up for a superhero gig with the media, he came after me.
Sneaky bastard found me in the middle of a stakeout on Baintronics offices. The dude was lucky I had tremorsense to sniff him out from down the block before he drew too much attention.
He and I put a beatdown on a few hired guns before the local watch could swing by themselves. Called himself 'Patriot' in honour of his old man and we kicked things off swell.
From there, I introduced friend-to-friend and we formed the Unregistered.
It's been a year or two since that night. We've been through hell and back together, and I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.
