Quick overview of what she does after leaving the palace and pretends to be a commoner:

Uses chaotic power to split herself into three and get to experience three lives at once: a baker, a holy knight in training, and a vigilante. All three uses magic to disguise themself so none of them look alike, if one makes eye contact with the other, they will merge into one. Duren developed this power just so she could multitask waaayyy back when she’s still under Merlin’s training. The max number that she could split into was 5, she’ll get overstimulated and passes out if she goes beyond that number.

Life as a baker: got into a relationship with a Camelot citizen who have no desires and just want to live a normal life, oh and he hates war/conflict/battles.

Life as a holy knight in training: she exist just so she can know what it’s like to become a knight but it eventually let her know everything that was wrong with Camelot and how flawed this supposed perfect realm is.

Camelot is marketed as a place where people’s desires come true and it makes some individuals taking that as a yes to their sick desires and thinking that they could do anything they want once they’re in Camelot. She witnessed it when she’s been living as a humble baker, she isn’t a full fledged holly knight yet to enact justice so she split for the 3rd time to live as a vigilante.

After witnessing all the flaws of Camelot and knows the fact that her father have been stealing Britania’s lands to expand Camelot, she tries to create a passage way to Britania but Cath stopped her, just to show her the way out, and what have happened to the original Camelot. “I know it’s wrong, but i’m taking back everything that’s been taken from Arthur, their land, their home, their people. It’s only fair.”

Cath then opens a passage to Camelot and beckon her to come along but her gaze lingers over what remained of the old Camelot… “you better return before dinner!” and he vanishes along with the passage.

Duren then returns just in time, with a broken flag post. Just earlier, she used it to cover the entire surface of the old Camelot with flowers that were blue as the sky, as the color of sadness but also hope, hope that one day she could build a trully new Camelot there, not this delusion paradise that Arthur have built. That’s when she realizes her dream: to destroy Camelot.

Anddddd with her wanting to destroy Camelot, it makes her the hidden 5th knight: conquer.

When Lancelot infiltrated Camelot and hand out the amulets, she immediately know what they’re truly is and ask if they could form a co-operation.

On “Arthur”’s wedding day, she bid farewell to the guy she loves and wishes him well, flip a bird at the holy knights she hated, draw a gigantic sigil at where throne room was, assembles herself and start to do some magic. “I’m sorry.”

The people and most of the land in Camelot disappears, the last thing she heard before succumbing to exhaustion was the wind blowing as she began to fall, it was so loud it almost drowned the roar of a hurt animal.

But first, he’s some quick words to explain why they exist.

Arthur was afraid he’s going to loose it and he need emotional support, something worth protecting and holding onto. He asked Venus, the one that didn’t let him down for help. Help what? Well, to produce an heir of course.

Yes, Arthur babytrapped himself so he wouldn’t blow up the world.

I know what i’ve just said was kind of absurb, i weirded you out on purpose. Those with a weak mentality shouldn’t read my shit for their safety.

Okay let’s move on to their-

General lore

They were conceived and birthed just like any normal human babies. Except that they’re not really humans becauseee their father - Arthur is a chimera (he absorbed Cath), and their biological mother is an androgynous creation of Chaos.

The twins are the combination of Chaos’ chosen vessel combined with a manifestation of Chaos (destruction) and another manifestation of Chaos (love) okay? Of course they’re not just humans, they’re be batshit crazy physically magically and mentally.

Childhood:

Arthur was a loving father, no doubt, but he’s extremely strict in raising them, he have to turn them into formidable individuals so they could survive in any circumstances, if he loses them, all hell break lose.

Because they’re basically Arthur’s out of wedlock children, he have to limit their freedom, they’re raised hidden deep inside the palace.

Merlin made some observations and reported to Arthur, saying one was gifted with magical talent while the other is built to become a mighty warrior. You know what happened next? Arthur put them through training that goes against their destined path, Duren gets the staff while Mordra gets the sword. Their dad just wanted the best for them, and it would work in their favor eventually, trust.

Duren

She’s trained under Merlin herself (while her own daughter Gawain gets nothing, i’m not trying to be mean to Gawain, i’m trying to portray Merlin as the awful human being that she is, she wanted Gawain to be like her father so there was no need to study magic). Despite the awesomeness of magic, she only saw magic as a killing tool, she find no joy in it since Merlin only taught her combat spells.

She finally found an interested in magic when Gawain brushed her arrogance aside and ask Duren to teach her how to read magic sigils. Gawain got her hands on this magic book, though it only got simple spells like growing crops, make clothes clean, it intrigued Duren and Gawain noticed it. She would only lend the book to Duren after Duren teaches her combat spells. They sealed the deal.

Duren always try to speedrun her lessons so she could visit Mordra and learn whatever she could make of her twin’s sword art sessions.

Arthur is also a teacher when it comes to chaos power, though he doesn’t know much about it to teach Mordra, they worked together to figure out how to bend it to their will. Self-teaching is the best way to learn, even better when you have a classmate with you.

Mordra

Trained directly under Arthur’s best swordmans, Nanashi and Venus. Though both knows how to maneuver with a blade, their way of fighting differs, and difference provides nuance.

Nanashi was a kind and patient teacher, always respect his opponents and it’s reflected in his way of fighting, to fight is to exchange, and each battle is a conversation.

Venus was a cold, calculating and ruthless fighter despite their kind and lovely exterior. They’re more of an assasin than a swordman, to fight is to kill, to strike is to take people’s lives, every move targets your vital points. Mordra never got the chance to exchange blows with Venus directly because she know she’ll loose, thus her blade only mets dummies. It’s a good thing that Venus always end classes early for tea, or so it seems… tea time was were Mordra leant etiquette, social skills, cues and how to spot poisons in liquid and food. I made it sounded chill but Venus would make surprise attacks out of nowhere.

As tough as Venus’ teachings is, she leant the most important thing she needs: stealth, concealing one’s murderous intent and mana is the best way to fool enemies, preys. Not only that it provides many advantages in battle, it also very useful in every day life. Both Mordra and Venus are blind and sensitive to mana so that makes Mordra the best student to learn from Venus and vice versa.

She get to have fun little sparrings with her dad sometimes and he revealed the reason why he put her through sword training instead of magic. Though she doesn’t like wielding a sword very much, she understood her dad’s intentions and smack him repeatedly with her sword still in her sheath.

Duren despite having no interests in Merlin’s classes, she always tries her best to absorb the knowledge at hand so she could speedrun her class and make it Duren’s place as soon as she can. The first time Duren showed up when Mordra and Duren was having tea, she got dragged into their little game-

Venus, menacingly holding up a sugar cube: if this hits Duren’s vital points, there will be no macarons for you in a week

Mordra: immediately zooms to Duren’s position in a blink and managed to snatch the cube

As Mordra was about to yell, she’s interrupted

Duren: MORDRA! YOU’RE SO COOL!!

Venus at the tea table 10 meters away, clapping: yes indeed!

Mordra: oohhhh why- of course i am~ ehehe

The sisters usually exchange their knowledge when they have some time off, that’s where the twins gets to exchange their lessons, and also where they first realize a new difference between them, their hands. Duren’s are soft and smooth while Mordra’s are rough and chiseled, none of them make any comments about it but it sure lingered in their mind.

Later, Mordra got some training gloves for Duren so she could weild a sword without hurting her hands. Duren also got something for her sister, it’s an entire jar of soothing balm that she made herself.

*ugly cries*

[Timeskips] Merlin disappeared, their dad became a different person, everything took a turn.

(I will not elaborate on how when and how Venus is doing during all this because- Venus will get their own post)

Both knew something was wrong but they didn’t dare to say anything about it, the air was thick, they’re stressed out, not knowing what to do or how, they have just reached 10 years old

Suddenly- their “father”, allow them to do as they pleases as long as they stays in Camelot.

…

Holly waka moly if his goal was to gain their favor, lower their guard then it’s definitely working.

Enough about Arthur, it’s Cath timeee.

Yes, he’s always conscious eversince he got absorbed by Arthur but can’t take over his body. He’s just there, helpless as Arthur have every freedom to look through his thoughts, memories and past knowlege for as long as he ever lived. It sucks, but not as suck as when he was stuck under goddesses’ seal…

Cath thought Arthur was stupid for having children, it’s better off to kill them but then he realizes- even Arthur noticed- that the newborn twins have this smell that’s similar to Cath. (People sniff their pet cats okay, Cath used to be Arthur’s pet cat, i bet Arthur sniffed Cath a lot and Cath smells pleasant (according to my headcanon) okay).

Anyways, this new “father” let them run chaos in Camelot’s realm, spoils the shit out of them and they had the best time, there was definitely something tugging at the back of their mind but- they both need to enjoy their newfound freedom first, thinking later.

Eventually they asked for their father’s permission to live outside the palace as commoners and he agreed with one condition: is to visit him whenever he calls.

What happens when they visits him? Well- it could be anything, tea, dinner, training, or help him pick which outfit suits him most.

If it comes to training, he only teaches them how to use chaotic power, but if they engage a combat training, he’s willing to go along.

Cath seves an important role in developing their control over chaotic power, each developed their own way based of their understanding of chaos.
